From $30 and a Dream
To-Do Wash didn't start with a big investment or a business plan. It started with a $30 vacuum, and a young man who refused to give up.
Tonnel Kalumba was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, and came to the United States in 2021 to pursue his education. As an international student studying Business Management at Southern Utah University, he faced the same challenge that many immigrants face — how do you build a life in a new country with limited resources?
The answer was simple: you start with what you have.
With a $30 vacuum and nothing but determination, Tonnel began detailing cars in Cedar City. One car became five. Five became twenty. Word spread. Reviews poured in. What started as a side hustle turned into a fully equipped mobile detailing operation with a professional van stocked with premium chemicals, tools, and a reputation built on quality and trust.
Today, To-Do Wash has served hundreds of satisfied customers across Cedar City and beyond, earning over 70 five-star Google reviews built entirely on hard work, professionalism, and genuine care for every vehicle we touch.
We are not just a car detailing business. We are proof that with the right mindset and work ethic, you can build something real from the ground up.
